Original Ballads and Such

Here are a few original songs written by Mark through the decades . . . .

This ballad is called “Willie”, and was composed by Mark in 1972 in Idaho Springs, Colorado. This recording was made in the Garage in 2020, using a Taylor 814ce DLX.

“The Ending of the Night”, recorded in the Garage in 2020. This was written for the Life Church worship band in 2009 before Mark got kicked out of the group for being too Country. The guitar used here is, again, the 814ce.

This ballad, called “No Way”, is Mark’s favorite composition. It was written in 2009, and recorded in the Garage in 2020. The instrument used is the Taylor 814ce.

I guess I’ll always be a Folksinger! “Folksinger” was composed by Mark in 1978, and recorded in the Garage on the 814ce in 2020.

“Anita” was co-written by Mark Stone and Kevin Casteel in circa 1980. This 2020 recording was made in Mark’s Garage, using the 814.

***************
“Old Man Song” was written by Mark in the late 1970s, based on the message in the Book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible. This recording was made in his home studio in 2018. The guitar is a Taylor 110e.

***************
This song was written and recorded by Mark in November, 2018, a special Thanksgiving ballad for Mosaic Church. The guitar used was a Gibson Hummingbird Pro.

“Holy Is the Lord” is a song that Mark admits is poorly written, but he plans on cleaning it up some day. The song was composed and recorded in 2018 on a Gibson Hummingbird Pro.

***************
“Lone Wolf” was written and recorded in 2013 at the request of Mark’s pastor Jesse Davis, to demonstrate the Biblical principal of belonging to a group rather than being a lone wolf.
