Bodhran Resources

www.celticmusic.com/alfonso_bodhrans - Albert Alfonso's an old friend and great bodhran maker. My wife has instructions that in the event that something tragic should ever happen to me, Albert is the first person she is to call. I cannot possibly put into words how much his friendship means to me.

www.metloef.com - Rob Forkner makes some of the finest drums available today. He uses a variety of skins to suit the individual. I like his drums quite a bit, and he's a good friend. Rob has just finished his PhD, so he should be back to making drums again very soon.

www.blueheroncases.com - Ken and Maria Jorgenson of Blue Heron Cases make the bestcustom cases to be found. Most professional bodhran players in America use these cases because of their superior craftsmanship. Give 'em a call and please tell them that I sent you.

http://bodojo.com/ - A wonderful site created by Paul Marshall of Different Drums of Ireland and now an artistic consultant to "Stomp". This site offers a lot of instructional help and general bodhran information. This is the "one-stop shop" of Irish drumming info.

http://www.irelandwoodcrafts.com/  - Site of bodhran maker, Michael Vignoles. Michael is "first class" all the way.  He is a very kind and thoughtful man with great attention to detail in the making of his drum and pipes.

Musicians

www.cliffmoses.com - Cliff Moses is an old, old friend; one of the few hammer dulcimer players in the world that is accepted into the Irish traditional music family.

www.fiddlista.com - Heather Gilmer is a fine fiddler based in Austin TX. She and I performed together in Poor Man's Fortune and have recently begun to perform together again in a trio, The Tradmarks.

www.jameskellymusic.com - James Kelly is of my best friends in "the music". We spent a few years on the road together with great tunes, wonderful stories, and memories to last a lifetime. James is one of Irish music's nobility and truly a living legend.

www.jameskeane.com - James Keane is the epitome of a gentle-man, in both senses of the word. He and his wife, Theresa, are the kindest people I've ever had the pleasure to spend time with. I'll treasure the moments I've spent on stage with James.

www.jeffmooremusic.com - Jeff Moore is a good buddy and hands down the best Irish guitarist in the Southwest.

www.jmveillon.net - Jean-Michel Veillon is arguably the finest flute player in the Celtic tradition. A good friend and a great guy.

www.neilpeart.net - Site of the "Professor" Neil Peart, drummer for one of the greatest bands in the history of rock, Rush. This guy has so much to say and is such a huge influence in my philosophy of life and drumming. I often read from his writings in my workshops. If you haven't read one of his books or viewed his videos, you're missing out on something really good.

www.songsofscotland.com - Ed Miller, is a good friend and one of Scotland's finest exports to the US. I'm amazed at his reach around the world. Austin, TX tends to take his talent for granted as he is truly an international star. Ed is a pleasure to work with and the consumate professional.

www.theteamerchants.com -The Tea Merchants. I love these guys. I sit in with them when I need a workout!

The Tradmarks - An exciting new trio that I'm in with fiddler Heather Gilmer and guitarist & singer Jeff Moore.

Poor Man's Fortune - Some old friends that play some of the most unigue Celtic music you're ever likely to hear in the United States. Larry Rone is one of the finest bombard players in the US and has appeared with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Serge Laine is a multi-talented musician who never fails to surprise me. Check 'em out when they're in your neighborhood.

Radio Programs

www.folkradio.co.uk - Check out this internet radio station specializing in Celtic and folk music. They use a really handsome guy's picture as their logo! Alex, who runs the show, is a great guy.
